If it were me, I don't think I would update the BIOS if the notebook is running fine on W10 v1803.

 

Intel Management Engine Interface Driver...should be installed regardless of Windows version.

 

Orbit version to be installed on the PC:

I don't know if Orbit has ongoing support or updates.  

 

Methinks not, since the app was discontinued from the Google Play Store and the app did not come with your PC.

Yeah, and when it tells me to clear up more disk space, all I can do is click "close" and that's the only option. Then it starts all over again.

Hi:

 

Installing W7 from a DVD should have worked.

 

If you made the DVD yourself, it was probably a bad burn or incomplete ISO file.

 

When you burn a disk, you have to do it at the slowest possible speed you can.

 

For the USB install, you need to follow the guidance from Dell.  It is a fairly complicated procedure.

Hello

 

I recently had an issue with my HP Pavillion Lap Top where i couldnt get it to boot up and get into Windows 10 so i used HP Recovery Manager to make 6 BackUp disks with the files on which i wanted to keep.The issue im having is ive done a System Restore and got everything working again eg...Windows 10 up and running again etc but when i load my BacUp disks it gets to the 6th disk and it loads up to 3% then freezes.

As with all the other 5 disks the 6th disk is full of files but will not load past 3%.Is there any way i can download/View these files? also How can i View SMW Files? I would like to retrieve all the files on these disks but require some advice how to do this Thanks.

Hello,

pc will not boot

i get error message 3F0

i have tried all tips:

except the one which includes dismanteling the laptop, i think i would just destroy it more.

i have run memory and hard drive test, both with no problems.

i have tried f11, but there is no hp recovery option

i have reached " repair my computer " option using a external hard drive with windows image on it,

but i didnt get anywhere with: start-up repair, system restore, system image recovery

 

when i tried to install windows using said windows image i get this:

" we couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one hp "

solutions online show me how to format the drive, but i am afraid i will lose HP features and things if i do that.

 

 

anyone have any ideas i could try?

I'm trying to install an OS on this old netbook,

created a bootable USB and have the disc image installed onto it

gone into BIOS and changed the boot order to 

1. USB

2. SD

3. HDD

 

shut down the PC

 

inserted USB

 

pressed power button.

 

the machine gets as far as the HP splash screen.

 

RAM and HDD are ok ( self test option)

 

the USB drive 'works' on a different PC ( boots and runs as a live OS)

 

what is stopping the HP computer from booting with a device in a USB slot ?

Hi:

 

You can install W10 64 bit.

 

32 bit operating systems are not supported, and it will either be hard to find 32 bit W10 drivers, or they may not even exist, such as for the graphics.

 

Here is the support page for your notebook's model seres, and there is a full set of W10 x64 drivers listed there.

I have bought a new Laptop in Spain, but I am Dutch myself so I would like to have a Dutch Windows 10 Installed on it. So I first installed the Spanisch one so I got a valid Product code, then I downloaded Windows10 from Microsoft via the "MediaCreationTool" and then booted my system from that USB stick. When it asked where to install windows I choose the original C disk (with label "Windows") then I format that partition and the installation  begins.
After a few minutes I get a message 

 

When I click OK, it comes back but won't go further. 

Can you help me how to get a (Dutch) Windows 10 on my new computer?

Hi,

I have a OS issue on a elitebook 840 G1 with PBA encrypted disk. Windows 7 boot fails even in fale safe mode (a driver loading issue).

I have then to boot the laptop with a windows 7 installation disk to fix the driver problem. The issue is that the system disk is not visible with the external boot. On the other hand there is no way in the winmagic login screen to say that you want to boot from an extenal disk.  I also tried to mount the disk on another computer but I dont know what software to use to decrypt the disk.

 

There is only a small partition visible from the  windows 7 installation disk (or when moving the disk to anopther system) which contains only two files : hwelogin.exe and hwemngr.exe None of the can be executed from the windows 7 installation disk command prompt or another computer.

 

Is there any solution ? All I need is to have write acces to the file system. I have the winmagic passwords and admin rights.

Good morning to you too Paul! Thank you again!

 

I will leave the bios alone! Thank you for the orbit stuff and etc. 

 

When it comes to software that requires a certain Processor speed for example,  my HP PC is 1.6 ghz and I have a software that I need to install that is requiring 2.0 ghz or faster. If I were to install that software will it hurt my PC or will it cause it to crash, will the software not work?
