I have buy a Pavilion x360 13 u130TU  with Windows 10 Home 64 bit. Now i want to install windows 10 Pro 64 bit. Does HP Pavilion x360 13 u130TU supports Windows 10 Pro..?

Hi,

 

Yes it will support the pro version of Windows 10. The drivers are the same for pro and home version. You might not need to install Windows Pro. If you go into settings "Update and security" then go to Activation and click on change product key. Now insert the product key of Pro version and Windows Home should automatically download files and upgrade to Pro version.

This version of laptop has only 128Gb SSD disk... Wil be installed or Debian + XFCE/MATE or Lubuntu .. in testing now udner Debian variant. And I was wanted to install WinXP with about 30Gb small partition for school tasks.

Still try Robolinux as it claims to install and run XP inside a Virtual Machine.

Hello,

 

This problem occurs because the file is included in the list of disabled files for the Microsoft Office program. The program adds a file to this list if the file causes a serious error, such as causing the program to close unexpectedly (crash) during two or more attempts to open it. This error message lets you avoid potential problems that may occur if you open the file.

To resolve this problem, follow the appropriate steps:

- In Excel, click File, click Options, and then click Add-Ins.
- In the Manage list, click COM Add-Ins, and then click Go.
- In the COM Add-Ins dialog box, clear the check box for any one of the add-ins in the list that's selected, and then click OK.
- Restart the application (not in safe mode).


If the program starts successfully, the add-in for which you cleared the check box is the one that's causing the problem. If the program doesn't start after you complete these steps, repeat these steps by clearing the check box for a different add-in.

If the program doesn’t start after you have tested all the listed add-ins, the problem isn't related to the add-ins. To learn about other reasons why this may problem may occur, go to the "References" section.

If the problematic add-in is a third-party product, we recommend that you go to the company website to get a newer version of the add-in. If there's no newer version available or if you don’t have to use the add-in, you can leave that check box cleared in the COM Add-Ins list.

Plugged in not charging

For a few months now, I have had to constantly keep my laptop on charge as when it reaches 69%, the charging status changes to plugged in - not charging. I have tried all the apparent solutions I have seen and ran battery tests etc and none of these have had any effect on the battery. It is a non-removable battery, but the lack of charging after 69% is now beyond frustrating.

Hi,

 

Please, someone, help me to fix the issue with my laptop, without any warning it keeps shutdown suddenly and restarts back again.

 

I have checked everything no blue screen or black. I have updated all my drivers to latest. The computer is refurbished by hp bought it for 6 months and I have avast Premier running.

Thanks for replying. It's definitely still under warranty but I can't find anywhere in HP support where you can speak to an actual person. It just sends me to the forum. If it needs to be replaced (as I suspect) there doesn't seem to be any way to organise that. Terrible, terrible support.

I'll try the DCOM fix - if the laptop stays up long enough to get through those steps.

My hard drive crashed and I had to install a new one.  My PC did not come with discs to reinstall the operating system.  How do I go about getting these?

My laptop does not have enough space for programmes to work correctly. I have tried all the methods on the HP PCs - Resolving Low Disk Space Errors Page and I still only have 253mb free! This is causing applications to shut down whilst i'm using them, often causing me to lose work. How can I resolve this issue? I have only had this laptop since the end of August and am very dissapointed with how quickly it has stopped properly working. It is not fit for purpose. Please let me know soon what I can do as this is preventing me from being able to do my work, which is what I bought this laptop for.

Hi,

 

You can remove the hard drive from the notebook and get a USB to SATA adapter to view the files from the hard drive (if the hard drive is not damaged):

It will be seen as a normal external drive in explorer in Windows. Now go to users folder and open documents,pictures ... and you can copy them to your PC. It might take a while to open these folders because the security permissions of the files need to be changed.

 

You can also try performing HP diagnostics on the old PC to see if it discovers any hardware problems. Here is link to HP support page showing how to perform these tests:
