I understand after you have issues performing recovery using the recovery discs.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
Did you try performing recovery using the recovery discs or retail discs from Microsoft?
Are you performing the recovery using the recovery discs shipped by HP or did you create the recovery discs by your own?
Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.
As you mentioned you have issues performing recovery using the recovery discs.
Try restoring the BIOS to default and check if it helps.
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes.
- Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Also, try running a system diagnostics test on your PC and check if the hardware components on your PC are functioning correctly.

If the issue still persists, it could be a problem with the discs. The discs might have got corrupted.
