Hello

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Community. Welcome onboard!

I am sorry for the issues you experience with your HP computer.

Please, review these 2 HP official articles about such issues you experience now. Follow the appropriate steps that fit your case to attempt to fix the issue:

or

To me it looks like it may be a power adapter and/or battery issue ? Have you tried with a different one ?

If you did try everything written in the articles but nothing helped, I am afraid you will need to bring your computer (or ship it) to service - HP Authorized service center. If the computer is still under warranty, you will need to notify HP support first. If you are not sure where such a center is located, please contact HP support for assistance in finding one. Here is more info:

For USA, you can call toll free 1-(800)-474-6836

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes

Re: Hp logo in loop

Hello

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

The recovery partition may have been corrupted (failed initially and after that). Did the diagnotic tests pass ? No issues there ?

If they passed, your only option left is to perform clean Windows reinstallation. You can use original HP recovery media or create your own Windows installation media. In all cases, your HP logo now appears and re-appears in a loop because your PC starts, it comes up as a part of the BIOS/UEFI/POST initialization and then PC restarts - there is no Windows (no operating system) at the moment to run.

  • If the tests pass, let me know which Windows you have - Windows 8 or 10 ? And which one you prefer to have ?
  • Do you have some important files you definitely must keep (and attempt to extract) ?

I will then post instructions

Hello

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Although I have some ideas what may be wrong, I do not want to speculate (guess).

Can you provide more information if you performed any software or hardware changes recently, any updates and when exactly you see this message ?  What Windows version you use ?

Sorry, but this is nearly always a driver issue -- as my Samsung phone did not get recognized until I went to Samsung, found the Mobile Devices driver, downloaded and installed it.

Since HP does not supply phone drivers, you will have to get the driver you need from your phone manufacturer -- as I did from Samsung.

Sorry, but not clear exactly what you are doing.

Your thread title says Linux but you can't install Windows from inside Linux.  So, if that is what you are doing, it will not work.

Also, you mentioned ISO form, but you can't install directly from an ISO file, so you have to expand the ISO file onto install media.

Is that what you have done?

Quick discharge due to drivers update

Hello!

The problem is that my notebook began to quick discharge. Oh, it was made in 2017 but everything was good until the drivers update. Since that moment i got the problem. My bettery is not a new one but anyway if it's going to die, it happens slowly by physical laws. I have a fast regress from about 6-8 working hours to 1 or maybe 1.5 using the minimum screen backlight rate.
Please help me if it's possible to!

Sorry, but I'm having some problems understanding the details of your situation.

You mention running many recoveries and failing to retrieve data -- but HOW did you run these recoveries, in other words, what are the detail steps you followed?

And, you are asking how to recover your data -- but what has happened to your data that you need to recover it?

And finally, specifically what recovery software are you using?

We can proceed when you provide the information.
Thanks

Re: memory slot stop working

Sorry no one has replied but basically, there is nothing we can do from here about this, and probably little to nothing you can do, either.

If you have confirmed the memory slot now fails by running memory tests, that is a hardware failure and there's really no way to "fix" that as the memory slots are built into the motherboards.

You would have to replace the motherboard and that would require completely disassembling and reassembling the laptop -- the end cost of which would probably exceed that of replacing the PC.

My hp pavilion x360 convertible  14-ba002no will turn on (the screen will be black even tho i turned it on) then literally 2 seconds later turns off. I left it to sit for a day, because I thought it overheaded, then tried to do a force restart and still does the same thing.

If there is a way to turn it on let me know..

Hi

It is a "Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure" so a new Hard Drive may be required and then the install/re-install of all your software.

HP EliteBook 840 G3 Notebook PC

As you have (possibly) 9 months left on your warranty.....

I will ask a MoD to help.

Been out of work for 4 days now & need to find a solutions asap. How to proceed with putting in a ticket or speaking with HP customer service. Thank you!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
