Hopefully, the bad wireless card is all that is preventing Recovery from completing.
Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics is an option. Tap F2 key and run the tests.
Did you make your Recovery Media when you first set up the laptop? If so boot from it to format the hard drive and reinstall Windows 7.
If you don't have Recovery Media try here:
I did the bios update (SP88764) with win+B and was able to start with out the 8 beeps, but it still stock in black screen
The F11 key feature to invoke the HP Recovery Manager will only work if there is a recovery partition installed by the HP recovery manager or recovery media created by the HP Recovery Manager.
If you made USB recovery media with the HP Recovery Manager, you can perform a factory image rescover to reinstall in default OS.
thanks soo much for the reply .please se attached screenshot . yet none of my attempt work
Is that the original recovery partition?
It is red. That means that something has been saved to it. That is not a good sign.
The first thing to do is to set the recovery partition to active and then boot to the recovery partition by use of the F9 key on powering up. If the recovery partition is OK, the HP Recovery manager should be invoked.
That can be done with either DiskPart or GParted.
See the tutorial at the following link.

Hello. About a month ago my laptop completely stopped working. Considering that I still had 2 months of Door to Door warranty left, I called the local HP Support. After around 20 minutes I had already talked it out and had a courier to pick my laptop up in few days.
Things went pretty smoothly after that and long story short, the pc came back today.
Sadly, I still can't use it. I get to the first time configuration screen, select language etc. and once I get back to the black HP loading screen which should trigger the "Welcome" blue screens it suddenly resets and creates this loop. I would rather want to avoid having to send it to repair AGAIN. Anyway I can fix this myself?
Hello!
If anyone needs a simple solution:
You can run the original HotKey setup exe silently and without a reboot with following switches:
setup.exe /S /v"/qn /norestart"
The first /S tells the exe to be silent, /v hands over "/qn /norestart" to the msi which would be created.
Have fun!
Hi
Perhaps if you compare all 3 and maybe they exist in one of them, but I believe they should exist in all versions.
Hi
So now the list I posted earlier...
No Power or No Boot Troubleshooting
or the HOW2
This First part only works when a valid Recovery Partition is enabled.
If it displays an error message then move onto the Second Part:-
OR if you have data you wish to try and save using the XCOPY command.
Then create your own Repair/Recovery/Rebuild/Re-install media or buy a set from HP.
Turn off the computer.
Disconnect all connected devices and cables, Media Drives, USB drives, printers, & faxes.
Remove media from internal drives, and remove any recently added internal hardware.
Do not disconnect the monitor, keyboard, mouse, or power cord.
Turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key,

Hi
maybe...
1st Please try a Hard Reset
This is valid for most notebooks, and some desktops.
Press and Hold the PWR off button for 4 seconds to force a PWR off.
Unplug from the wall.
IF you see a battery compartment door, then your computer has a removable battery.
IF NOT then you do not have a removable battery.
Remove any removable battery.
Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to complete the reset.
(Re-insert any battery you removed).
Turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key, about once every second,
until the Choose an option screen is displayed, and then continue.
On the Choose an Option screen, click Troubleshoot, and work your way through the screens.
Second Part:-
This may require another PC. Find and Download your .iso from…
(You will need a NON_OEM key for W7);
W8.x and W10 should activate automagically from their embedded licence key.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows7
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
For when it’s a NON MS OS ( iOS / Linux ) creating the install media.
www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO
A 3rd party site is (Courtesy of @CherylG)...
http://getintopc.com/softwares/operating-systems/windows-7-home-premium-free-download-iso-32-bit-64-bit/
Expand/Extract/Burn the iso Image onto a DVD/USB as needed.
Microsoft’s Creator Tool will make the required DVD or USB.
Even though it has NO actual HP software/drivers included, you may be able to
XCOPY the C:\Users\* area onto a ‘large’ USB stick, via the Command Prompt.
You’ll need to try various drive letters; D:..-..Z: until it’s matched - could be G; mine’s S:
C:\>XCOPY C:\Users\* S:\ /e /i /h (then files like those 3 listed below get copied over)
C:\Users\desktop.ini
C:\Users\All Users\agent.1509128044.bdinstall.bin
C:\Users\All Users\HP Deskjet 2540 series\Help\flash\zoom.swf
Then you can try System Recovery Options / Advanced Options shown in the screenshots.
NB:- W7 Try running a Startup Repair more than once for a full fix.
NB: - W10 Begin with the Automatic Repair, then Startup Settings etc.
From either the C:\ or the X:\ prompt try the following
cd boot
bootrec /FixMBR
bootrec /FixBoot
bootrec /RebuildBCD
If the above FAILS then please try:-

http://www.thewindowsclub.com/install-windows-7-from-usb
http://www.thewindowsclub.com/install-windows-10-from-usb
You may need to change the Secure/Legacy boot option, and the boot sequence also.

I've had my laptop for almost a year and have had no problems with it previously. A few days ago I was using it to watch Netflix when suddenly the screen went blue and an error message popped up (I can't remember exactly what it said, something along the lines of 'Your PC has encountered a problem' with a sad face). It stayed on this screen for a few minutes and then turned itself off.
I left it a few minutes and then turned it back on. I can hear the fan and occasional beeping, the screen sort of lights up but it remains black. I did a hard reset and have followed various instructions online - to no avail.
Yesterday I attempted to turn my laptop on again, I held down the 'windows' key for a few seconds and then pressed power. My laptop came on as normal, I was able to log in and open Chrome. My laptop worked for about 10 minutes then froze and the blue screen returned. It has since been a black screen (clearly 'lit up' but nothing else on the screen).
I have tried an external monitor - nothing happens.
I have also manged to load up the BIOS settings and selected 'restore security settings'. It then restarted itself twice. It then brought up a message asking to enter a code (code shown on the screen) to restore the security settings, I did this and it restarted again. I can't tell if this has done it's job or not, but my screen still remains black and nothing shows up.
I have also managed to access the settings to do a hard drive check - to which I get a message on the screen saying 'Boot Device not found, no hardrive installed'.
I'm sort of at a loss of what to do next. I start University in a few weeks and desperately need a working laptop. If anyone could give me some advice on what the problem is and how to resolve it I would be very grateful!
Note: I don't know if it's worth mentioning (and whether this has any bearing?) but I have never used an internet security provider on this laptop before (other than the windows one installed). My Mum recommended that I use a paid security provider and so I downloaded Nornton. It seemed to be working fine and was just sort of in the background. 2 days after downloading Norton this has happened to my laptop. It was working fine with Norton, and on the day it first 'crashed' I had simply put it on to watch Netflix and there were no issues.
Sorry for the long post - hope someone can help!
