HP would not hold any activation codes for any model. The Windows activation codes are provided to the customer. You might have collected it when you got this business notebook separately.

Unfortunately, that is not a specific failure error code.
Connect the power adapter and use the PC Hardware Diagnostics utility --> Component test -->Hard disk, to run a long hard disk test. Post the result here.

Is it possible to upgrade the storage?

I have a Notebook 14-an013nr, When I recently attempted to download the new windows 10 I recieved an error for space. I deleated all non essential applications an I still cannot download the complete update. Is there a way to restore this computer to factory specs? Is there a way to add more internal storage to this comuputer it only has 30 GB of internal storage which the OS takes up most of that.
Also since attempting to install the update and trying to reset the computer I have lost of my office applications.

Hi:
Try the W7 x64 drivers and software from the 250 G5, except the BIOS and firmware files.
Some model variations of the G5 also have the Intel 6th gen core processors.
One thing though...if your notebook has the Intel 3168 AC wifi adapter, that wifi adapter will not work on W7.
It only works with Windows 10.
