touch screen
Hi. just recently got a new laptop as a birthday gift. it keeps talking about and referring to it being a touch screen laptop, but for some reason the touch screen function doesn't seem to be working. Just trying to figure out what the truth is. It's an HP 15 Notebook PC.

hp pavillion 14-d003tx windows 8 drivers
I just bought my hp pavillion 14-d003tx without any os, i installed a windows 8 os and now when i visited the driver updates and download page of my model on hp, but i cant find my os, in the choices i can only see windows 7 64 Bit and windows "8.1" 64 bit.

Had the same problem with HP Pavilion dv-6 7173er. I installed the latest version of SPTD driver (1.86, x64) and had BSOD again.

Paul. I tried this drivers today. But unfortunately it didn't detect the hard drive.
My sister is comfortable with WIN 8. she said no need to mess up with my laptop. :D

window is offcenter
on my desktop,,when i open google chrome,,the window, is to far right by 1"
hiding the scroll slide on the right side...i have "grabbed" the window with my curser,, i can move the window
but it will not let me move it all the way to the left.....frustrated..

I honestly don't know, the laptop didn't come with any disks. The person who updated it didn't give me any. The dvd/cd rom drive used to work a couple of months ago, but all of a sudden it just stopped.

Ok , so are you trying to re-install windows for a fresh start ? When you say " No disks " I assume you are talking recovery media ? Regarding your DVD Rom drive if you can take the Rom drive out by removing one single screw from the bottom of your laptop which will be marked with a symbol looking like a disk drive . Remove the drive by opening the drive draw and gently pulling it out . Boot windows without the drive installed . Let the system boot then shut it down normally . Re-insert the drive and put the screw back in then re-boot windows and see if windows recognises that the drive is installed . If it doesn't see the drive it could be that the DVD rom drive has failed . You can buy a new one or speak to the person that you brought it from and see if they will do something for you .

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA blue screen error
Hi,
I purcahesd HP pavillion 15-n213TU Notebook in Reliance mart 15 days ago. And it was installed with Win8 os, But none of the softwares were supported So i installed win7 now i am getting the blue screen error and the system is unable to start, Displaying the error message PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA blue screen.
Now please let me know is there anything else you can do or else i need to return it back the Notebook.
I am frustrated with HP product.

December of 2012. I had to have the laptop wiped clean because it wasn't recognizing the os. The person who fixed it, put in Windows 7, and everything worked fine. About November of last year I tried to watch a dvd on it and it wouldn't work. I tried to update it, but it's not avalible to be updated. I will try to remove it and see if that works. Thank you so much for your help.

Hi there,
I bought this notebook with Prodct No. G2C456EA#BCM and I have hard time to get drivers for it. There are wrong drivers under product´s page on HP web pages. I still can´t get rad reader ready, bluetooth and USB 3.0.
I´m not sure about about graphic drivers as well. I installed several versions of catalist and got a driver, but probably wronge version...

Re: Need help rebooting my computer
I created the recovery system on a flash usb key, I had exactely the same trouble. I tried more than 8 times to restore my system but then, I found a solution that did work for me.
I had to plug my key into the usb port that I used to create the recovery system.
It was not the one on the left-side but one on the right-side (ewww !!!).

Cannot use dedicated graphics
Hi,
As already mentioned my laptop will only use integrated hd 3000 graphics while i have a 6770m onboard.
I have good drivers for both (or i assume since there's no warning in device manager).
Whenver I try to play a game though, only the integrated graphics are available and it doenst switch while playing because i get 20 fps on lowest settings while playing while i could play most games with up to 60 fps on high.
Catalyst control center also has a problem while installing because my hardware version isn't supported even though the auto detect picked the download i need.
It is a common problem with alienware laptops as far as i found on the web but these all have nvidia graphic cards.
If it is of any help: I have a HP Pavilion dv6 6b50eb, my 6770m hardware id is
