Hi greg, 

I am sorry to hear you are facing BLUE SCREEN error in windows 8. I cannot say what exactly is the problem but i can recomend you to update your hardware drivers through HP website. You should also update your windows  as soon as possible. And last not the least if the problem started after installing any particular program, uninstall it and see if the problem still exist. Also check the system requerments of that program and make sure it meets your current hardware/software configuration.

Hard reset work this time but when I turn off my laptap and turn it on the next day again it will not turn on.Please help because I dont know why this problem keeps comming back.

Did you run the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant? It should tell you if you can run Windows 8 64bit...which I am sure you can.

Hi 

I have a laptop HP Vision , windows 8, and uploaded the HP upgrades in order to upgrade to windows 8,1, but now I 

can't access the HP support  assistant : the response is that the » HP support assistant stop fonctionning»

( my laptop is in french and I would like the upgrades in french also) 

how can I fix this? 

I need to upgrade to windows 8.1 in oreder to then upgrade itunes...

Spectre XT 13-2005tu won't turn on

My Envy Spectre XT 13-2005tu randomly turned off whilst I was watching a movie and will not turn back on. The laptop was on charge at the time. Now even when plugged into power source the power source light next to charge port does not light up. The charger has been checked by a technician and I have check other power points. The technicians have also looked at the laptop and they are unable to diagnose what the exact problem is.

Using CPU-Z I found that my board chipset is an Intel PM45 with a 82801M (ICH9-M) southbridge. I could not locate on Intel's site any drivers of the sort under their discontinued products. And, further, I would like to note that I have an external floppy drive so slipstreaming these drivers into a disc isnt really necessary. As long as I can get the right ones, I can get the install going. Did this on my desktop, just trying to get it going on my laptop as well.

Hello,

 

so i realized i've been signing into my laptop under an email account (outlook) that i do not use. I'm trying to switch over to my actual email account(yahoo) but now none of my settings or folders exist under that account. is there a way to copy over all  of my settings and folders to a different user account?? My yahoo user account is now the administrator account.

 

and also all of my pins and apps that have been downloaded to the outlook  account i  need moved over to the yahoo user account. is there a  way to do this?

I have same issue, I tried the link but it is for BCM4352HMB only, it does make wireless part work but I still can not get Bluetooth to work.  Since this is a combo card I need driver that has both included.  I have tried to install BT driver from Broadcom but it will not work. 

 

Does anyone have any idea what we can do to get both wireless and bluetooth to work on Windows 7 64-bit with this card?  I have been looking for a driver for two days now.  Any help will be apreciated.  THis is the full information on the mini card:

 

BCM94352HMB

Azurewave AW-CE123H

Hi,

Bootmgr is missing message can be a hardware failure but the good thing about is that you can still back your files inside the HDD. In order to back up your files, once you turned on your unit and received this message, press F1 to continue and let the computer load your desktop screen.

For further isolation about this you can also run diagnostics for HDD.

Restart the unit and keep tap the ESC button on your keyboard
It should show the Startup Menu and then select Diagnostics using the up and down arrow keys, press Enter afterwards
It should give some option on running a HDD check, if there was a failure ID or error code, please feel free contact HP support line. Now if its passed try to run a system recovery or factory reset on your unit if issue will remove

Updating windows usually resolves such problems. My laptops BLUE SCREEN error problem was solved after updating windows. In the case of antivirus, I would recomend you to use Avast free because it is considered as the best free antivirus.

BIOS breaks Ubuntu and others when opened

Hi guys i'm having issues with getting ubuntu installed on my new HP Pavilion 17 E177-SB,

 

first of all the installation went just fine and ubuntu and windows 8 boot fine but ubuntu will only boot a few times before it crashes and instantly boots Windows 8 and gives no log what so ever I can immediately make ubuntu stop working by opening up the BIOS and even without saving anything it kills ubuntu it just shows dots and then it hangs and the hp logo appears and it boots Win8

 

 

BIOS version: Insyde F.31Ap1 also the hp support center keeps telling me there is a BIOS update and it updates but it stays at the same version

 

ubuntu version: 13.10

windows version: 8.1

 

in the end I would't really care if I have to wipe my win8 partition but as long as I can recover it when I really need it, it's ok

 

I hope someone can help me fix this,

HP 250 G1 Notebook PC prodyct number: H6E17EA#ACQ.i bought my laptop with windos 8.then i created the partition in my pc there was  a new drive which was D: and i accidentialy formated the drive.an i couldnt refresh my PC.so after a while i get update for windows 8.1 and i install the update then i switch off my PC,then the following day when i try to start my pc it was booting to a repair loop.then itb shows a blue screen.then i downgraded to windows 7.now i wish to go to windows 8.what should i do.
