When requesting assistance, please provide the complete model name and/or product number of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq makes thousands of models of computers that are all different. Without this information it may be difficult or impossible to assist you in resolving your issue.
The above requested information can be found on the bottom of the computer or in the battery compartment.
If you are logged in as a "temporary user", you may have issues installing software and drivers because you aren't granted the privilege to do so.
If you formated the HP Recovery partition and wish to return the computer to a factory like stated, you will need to use your personal HP Recovery Discs or USB HP Recovery media. If you failed to created you recovery media, you will need to order Recovery Discs from HP. Please contact HP in your region via HP's Worldwide Support Portal.
