Re: Reinstalling Windows 8 after formatting and creating new Partitions on HP g6 2301AX

Hi,

 

If the discs you've created are your set of Recovery Discs - the one created by This Process - then the first disc in the set will be bootable.  Performing a 'Factory Reset' using these discs will reinstall Windows 8, all the original software that came with your notebook and will re-create all the original partitions.  Your windows procduct key is embedded in the bios chip so activation will occur automatically.

 

It's important to note that this procedure is destructive, so back-up any personal files or custom partitions etc first.
