It sound like you can attribute most of your issues to installing "Windows 8.1 Enterprise, build 9600", instead of updating to Windows 8.1 through the Windows Store.
The first thing you need to do is return your computer to a factory like state, using either the HP Recovery Manager, "F11" at power up, or the HP Recovery Media you previously created.
