Hi:

Download the chipset driver from the link below. First file listed.

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/raid_windows.aspx#4

Use the free 7-zip file extraction utility to extract the files from the exe.

http://7-zip.org/download.html

The driver you need that matches the hardware ID of the sata controller you posted will be found in the $_OUTDIR>Packages>Drivers>SBDrv>SB7xx>AHCI_svr>XP.

When you open the AMD.sata.inf, you will see the hardware ID of the sata controller in your notebook listed.

[Manufacturer]
%AMD%   = AMD,NTx86.5.2

[AMD.NTx86.5.2]
%AMDSATA.DeviceDesc% = amd_sata_inst, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4391&CC_0106
%AMDSATA.DeviceDesc% = amd_sata_inst, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4394&CC_0106
%AMDSATA.DeviceDesc% = amd_sata_inst, PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7801&CC_0106
%AMDSATA.DeviceDesc% = amd_sata_inst, PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7804&CC_0106

I assume you are aware that there are no XP drivers for the graphics adapter in your notebook, correct?

None from HP, and none on the AMD website.
