I had the Boot Device not found menu last Friday and since then have gotten the hard drive replaced and the recovery disks sent. I followed all the instructions given to me by the manuals and my hard drive passed the hard drive disk test. I tried to follow the steps for the recovery process but it stated that I should be at the HP start up screen. It still hasn't made it passed the boot device not found screen even though it passed the tests. When I do tap escape multiple times it does bring me to the startup menu and I click F9 to get to the boot device options. Once there I was told to click the DVD recovery device option uner the UEFI Boot Sources screen. When I did get there, it sounded like it tried to load the disc but didn't suceed. The screen now says "Boot Option Menu with choose up or down arrows to change option (where the option to click DVD recover device should be), ENTER to selcet an option. Press F10 to BIOS Setup Options, ESC to exit." I'm just curious if there is a step I am missing that hasn't been listed for this sort of problem or if it's something more technical where I have to have the laptop sent in. Thank you for the support!
