Thanks for your reply! Actually I managed to uninstall Device Access Manager very easily from the programs list - and it already solved a great deal. Why  it was possible now and not 4 months ago I really dont know.

 

I have windows 7 pro and really dont need upgrade of win (for all I know).

 

The only "nice to have" thing is the fingerprint scanner - but would it be possible to only have that program without the HP Client Security (which is stalling) - or are they just intertwined.

 

I might try to uninstall HP client security and live happily without the scanner instead...

 

I will read your answer over once more in the weekend - and think of what to do :)

I have installed 1st two drivers. but for the 3rd one (.net framework) it couldn't be installed.Capture.PNG

Hello, I need help with this blue screen.

Unable to go in safe mode, safe with networking, or command prompt, last known good configuration. Or start windows normally.

The only thing I can do is F8

& click disable automatic restart on system failure.

Then a blue screen pops up:

A problem has been detected and windows has bbeen shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow tthese steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

If you could please help id highly appreciate it. And the last action I did was a hard forced shutdown. Then that happened. I have norton anti virus on there also.

When I click any of the safe modes or start windows normally, the blue screen flashs then restaerts. Thats what made me disable automatic restart on system failure

are you using a bootloader to activate your windows, this issue comes because of that. to fix that boot it from a DVD/USB which contains the same version of your windows (Pro / Home Premium) and use repair windows.

No Product Key Sticker?

Just picked up my notebook today. Its the ENVY TouchSmart m6 Sleekbook [m6-k125dx]. Its just something I do personally but I'm no fan of bloatware and I usually factory restore and fresh install the OS and download the drivers to get my computer running. But there is no product key stick underneath the notebook. To my understanding, Windows 8 has been designed to integrate each OS within the BIOS. If I fresh install Windows 8, will my laptop automatically activate itself?

Yes-normally Windows 8 will pull the key from BIOS to activate. Before resorting to clean install you might consider the Minimized Image Recovery using HP Recovery Manager. It offers a much cleaner install with Windows and drivers and some of the most useful software.

Windows 7 32 Bit Drivers for Pavilino G7-2325dx

I replaced my hard drive and Operating System to from Windows 8.1 to Windows 7 32 bit. I am having trouble finding drivers that are compatible. System is working but i have only updated the wireless driver.

The 3f0 error code can have three causes:

 

1. Bad hard drive or partition structure, erase the entire hard drive then use HP recovery discs to attempt reinstall of the OS and all partitions.

 

2. Bad hard drive data cable that connects it to the motherboard, replace the cable

 

3. Bad sata controller on the motherboard replaces the motherboard or laptop.

 

 

You can check if the harddrive by booting up the computer and going into "hardware diagnostics" by pressing the F2 button multiple times.

 

In the "advanced hardware diagnostics, if you cannot find the harddrive/harddisk test in the main menu, look for it under "components test"

 

In the harddrive test, choose the "extensive test" and if probpted, let it "run once".

I believe what you are asking is whether HP laptops are running Windows 8 or Windows RT? Tablets,such as MS Surface, use Windows RT which is the limited version you are trying to avoid.

I have problem using my fingerprint reader of HP proboook 450 g1. when I open my biometric dialog it says that "no fingerprint reader is connected or another program is using the reader. I already have installed HP simple pass , validity fingerprint sensor.but when I open it it shows no fingerprint reader is connected or another program is using the reader.

Thanks for reply Cheryl.  

Different models of the Surface use the RT or full Windows which Microsoft clearly distinguish by the suffix Pro for the full version.

The HP site does not. Please can somebody tell me which version is on the Spectre 13???

hey..!
i have installed windows 8.1 64 bit on my hp probook 4540s and i m missing the following drivers.

1. base system device

2. base system device

3. Rlink_RT3290_Blutooth_01

4. unknown device

also i couldn't find the finger print option to set the finger print pass to my system...

kindly help me out... :(
