fingerprint stopped working

Hi,

my fingerprint not detecting my finger

before months ago it was working in windows 7

and i change it to windows 8 then my fingerprint stopped working

I thought it was the windows not supported the fingerprint sensor

my notebook is " hp compaq 6910p "

As you can see not detecting my finger :/
