"The guy above" (I), provided the link to the Intel series 7 chipset (series 70-79) SATA AHCI controller, not the ich 7 sata controller. To wit: the Intel(R) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller is the name of the sata ahci controller in your notebook. You can see that by going to the device manager, click to expand the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers section, and there you will find it.
The Intel series 7 chipset is the next to the newest line of Intel chipsets, the newest being Series 8.
The ich 7 sata controller is found on the Intel 940-945 series chipsets, which are ancient history.
So I suggest you do your homework before making incorrect statements about what I posted.
With that being said, the chipset in your model is the Intel HM77 Express.
The sata controller for the HM 77 express chipset is SATA III, as indicated in the chipset specs below.
