I don't have any PC's with usb 3 controllers but perhaps they are listed in the device manager under the Universal Serial Bus Controllers section.

If you see the USB 3.0 controllers listed there, then right click, select uninstall and then reboot the PC and see if they install correctly.

One of the problems you may be experiencing is if you did not install these drivers in this order, and reboot after each installation, you can have issues.
