Now that's a great approach take when reinstalling an OS that's destined to have a large number of updates to follow! I'm looking at 120 myself, but no complaints, because my laptop is working perfectly thanks you and the others here. Thanks alot!!

Hi:

There is no such thing as a stupid question in my book.

Your questions have been very relevant.

I don't have any one size fits all solution to what to update or not but what I do is to download and install the updates in groups of 10 when I have just installed an operating system.

Then I create a restore point and go for the next 10 and so on.

That way if something screws up my PC, I can narrow it down to only one of 10 items instead of guessing which one of 100 updates messed up my PC.

Then I go back to my restore point and only do 5 and narrow down to until I found the culpit that messed up my PC.

I have rarely come across any issues, but sometimes it happens.
