Hi:

 

HP only supports their consumer PC's for the current Windows operating system in effect at the time of production which now is Windows 8.

 

That is why there are no W7 drivers for your notebook listed there.

 

HP only provides support for other Windows operating systems for their business line of PC's.

 

But the good news for you is yes, you can install W7 on your notebook.

 

You just have to find a slightly older model with the same hardware as yours that came out just before W8 came out.

 

All of the software and drivers from this g6 model should also work on yours.

 

If you have the AMD 7670M/Intel switchable graphics, ONLY install the AMD driver which contains the drivers for both video adapters.

 

DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR FIRMWARE FILES

Make your set of W8 recovery disks first before wiping out W8 as the recovery partition will no longer work.

 

Or remove the hard drive and install W7 on a different hard drive.
