It is a pain when you make the disc and they will not work. then you have to pay HP for the operating system you have already paid for when you purchased the system. Hard drive goes bad and disc that HP ask you to make don't work or have errors.
So why do they put software with printers?
SO a system that I purchased less than a year ago is out of warranty.
Probably cost was one of the reason why they don't include them anymore. But the cost of buying the Recovery media from HP isn't that much more. But since this is a user forum that is all speculation if you want a definite answer you need to contact HP support and ask them. Ranting on here where users aren't HP support doesn't do go anywhere.
