Thanks Provost for your reply.  I have already taken care of the Bio's setting as you listed.   I go to F9 and boot the computer to the HP windows 7 CD with SP1 that I got from HP.  The computer starts loading Windows 7 and even get the Window 7 Flag and then boot to a desk top window.  After a few dos windows flash up I then  get the message and error below

This computer is not supported by system recovery Media. You will not be able to continue to recover this system with this media.. Error 0120-0003-0002

Product Number is D3H20UT ABD

HP 650  NOTEBOOK

I did call HP business and they were not much help. Ask about formatting and was told no do not have to. I have already made backup of the system .

Do you think that reformatting and get and OEM Window 7 Pro will work?

What I do not understand is the Id number they were talking about that would not let it Windows 7 load. Was told the computer was only build for windows 8.  I look up the computer in HP support download with the information off the notebook and it list Windows 7 as one of the OS with all the driver for download.  ????

I know that once HP did not want you to download. Read about it on ZDnet. but people were doing it anyway.
