I originally purchased an Ultrabook which had a 32GB SSD. It was defective and that has sinced been replaced by HP with a new Ultrabook 14t-k100 with only 24GB SSD. The computer is slower than my 5 year old Dell, and is having issies with Intel Rapid Technology (Intel Rapid Storage, Intel Smart Connect, Intel Rapid Start).
Not only will the Ultrabook not enter S4 sleep mode using Intel Rapid Start Technology, it came from factory configured to hibernate after 180 minutes just like any other laptop without the advanced technology at half the price!

Also, I have an error in the Disk Management area when going into Intel Rapid Storage...see pic #1and 2 above...
After an HP Support Tech messed around with it using the following pdf... http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/rapid_start_technology_user_guide_v13.pdf
my computer has since crashed and I had to perform a full system recovery back to day one.
New laptop under full warranty and cannot find anyone at HP who knows what they are doing. Since I have 4 case numbers on this (two of them closed which were submitted online and referred here), and still awaiting a call from the "escalation dept" for over a week now, I figured that I would try here. Lesson learned though...stick with a Dell for great support and on-site service!
Maybe someone on here knows how to properly configure the SSD as it only has about 3GB free, the rest is being used as a recovery partition? I am aware that I can delete the recovery, yet not sure why HP even put it on the SSD when it should be used for Intel Rapid Technologies and other programs in which speed is important. I have 8GB RAM on my ENVY, and the Intel instruction sheet states I need to equal or have more than the RAM.
