Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP ENVY m4-1115dx Notebook and an audio jack not working. USB 3.0 ports Connect optional USB 3.0 devices and provide
enhanced USB power performance. While there are multiple USB ports on the same side, only one USB port will be able to support a high power device at a time. So if you have something USB connected and try to use the 3.0 port  it won't work.
