Hi Devin_Abiwan,

 

I regret that my previous suggestion have not helped.

 

As the previous steps did not resolve the issue, I suggest you boot into Save Mode and do a full recovery. Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 8). During the recovery process, you will receive the option to backup your personal files. If you have not already done a backup, I would do it now.  Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 8).

Once this has been completed successfully, you can retry the update.  Here is link to Updating Windows 8 to 8.1 to guide through the update process.
