I managed to install the update without problems. Here is what I did: First, applied a "system restore". Second, I opened the "command prompt" as administrator and typed these commands, pressing ENTER after each line:

1. DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
2. DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Then I restarted the system and applied Windows update as usual. It paused at 30% for a second which troubled me but then went on as expected.
