The title is pretty much self explanatory but anyway:
When I tried installing Windows 8.1 Update released yesterday (also known as KB 2919355) my HP Pavilion 15-n014st froze with a blue screen of death displaying error: "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED".
Prior to this update, I installed all other prerequisite updates including KB 2919442 without any problems, as stated in this Microsoft support page: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/install-latest-update-windows-8-1
I had the very same BSOD when trying to install Bluetooth drives for the RT3290 Bluetooth hardware on this laptop, and the solution was uninstalling some KBxxxxxx update package. However, when I check my update history I cannot see it installed at the moment which makes me deduce this is not the source of problem this time.
Any help is greatly appreciated since this latest update is MANDATORY for future updates regarding Windows 8.1
What should I do?
