Oops, I spoke/wrote too soon. The problem is only partially fixed. I was able to enroll my finger(s) on Simple Pass but when I try to use it to log onto my laptop or sign into a website, it keeps saying there is no match in the fingerprint database. Again, the device manager says that the Validity Sensor device is working properly but it really isn't. Is it a software problem? Ugh! From what I can tell, this is what's installed related to Simple Pass
1) Validity Fingerprint Sensor Driver Version: 4.4.232.0 (Update Version 4.4.234.0)
2) HP Simple Pass Identity Protection Software Version 6.0.1.00.44 (Update Version 6.0.100.257)
Something missing??
