I would like to be able to further assist you with this issue. I do need to confirm some information with you. Are you using the HP Connected Remote App? Were you able to use the app previously on Windows 8? I would also try reinstalling the original version of the HP Connected Remote service. I have included the document 'Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 8)'.
