I understand that Support Assistant is not working. I will do what I can to assist you! To resolve the issue, I would uninstall and reinstall the program. You can actually do this with HP Recovery Manager. For more information on how to do this, please reference this document: Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 8)
