As a first step to fix this issue, I would suggest you perform "System Restore" and restore to a state at least a day before the issue appeared.

Please, disable temporary your antivirus software and run System Restore and do the restoration to a point a day before this first happened.
If by any chance System Restore does not work/does not help, please back up your most important data to external media (such as USB flash drive, external hard disk drive, etc...) and perform HP System Recovery.
