Hi Cheboyardan,
Welcome to the HP forum!
I understand that notepad opens on startup and you would like to eliminate that. Here is an excerpt from a Microsoft answer forum by WinstonM.
Windows 8 now includes an interface for managing startup applications in a location that makes more sense: the new, improved Task Manager. This makes it easier to specify which startup applications can start with Windows and use your system resources.
a. Right click on the task-bar and select ‘Task Manager’.
Note: By default Task Manager runs in a new compact mode. To expand the display and find the startup application management functionality, select ‘More details’.
b. Then, select the Startup tab. This view shows all of the applications that are configured to run when the system boots.
c. Locate the program that you would like to disable, right-click it and choose Disable.
d. Restart the computer and check.
If this has not resolved your issue, would you provide the exact model on HP 2000 you have. How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
