HP laptop has grey screen and won't go any further

I have a windows 8 HP laptop, and I can turn it on and off but when I turn it one it automaticly says automatic repair. When it is done it goes to a grey screen, but Rican still move my mouse around. But that's it. Any ideas on how to fix it.
