Does your laptop have a slot for an external SD card?  If so purchase one, I would recommend picking up an sd card 32gb to 64gb model.  Make sure to check if your laptop supports a microsd or a regular sd.  Put all your files on to the SD card and use your hard disk only for windows 10.  If you don't have an external SD card slot you can always purchase another hard drive.  External USB would be easier to install but you will have to lug it around, you can always upgrade the internal hard drive with an SSD but if you are not experienced with installing components you may need a proffesional to install it for you.  Try to go with an SD card first if your computer allows since it is the least expensive and easiest solution to implement.   Also stick to 32 bit version of windows 10 and not the 64 bit.  If you upgraded from windows 8.1 you can delete the back up files to make more room on your hard disk.
