I have the same problem.
I 've tried to install Mediatek Bluetooth Software Driver (sp64041.exe) in my laptop by Hp Support Assistant but the install fails and don't complete. If i a try to install manualy, windows shows a error message and restarts. Seems that sp64041.exe is not suppoted by windows 8.1.
Please, realease a new version of the driver, because i want to use the bluetooth caracteristics.
