You are a great wealth of knowledge. I looked all through, hoping you covered my latest headache, but it seems they scatter shot all around it with out hitting it. I'd love to know how you find what you find as I get asked to do things to computers that would make techs cringe and I just dive right in...and some times drowned. I've gotten it all the way around to running on W7 but so far I have no wireless.... I'm sure it is just running on basic, 'run it and pray' drivers from the install disk, so I'd like to get all the correct drivers so I save my self a huge headache later when it all falls apart.
it's a g6-2292nr with an Atheros - AR5B125 wireless. Another question, if W8 is just a badly basta#dized W7 why would they have to build these custom monsters so different to run it? and why don't they have to put on it, 'not backgrade compatable with W7' or something to keep people that plan to do that from buying them, thinking "I'll just format the dang thing and install my W7"
