For the last six months I have been trying to get an answer to my question from HP. Since I have had zero success primarily due to the fact that HP Customer service reps do not understand English and work off of a script, I will no longer deal with the incompetence. Hopefully I can get and answer here or I will find it someplace else while posting my issue a million times. I own 4 HP Laptops. Have been using HP computer products for over 25 years. Since HP decided to move their Call Centers to India in 2002 or '04 or whenever it was, and later consolidated them, HP customer service has been nothing but a big steaming pile of dog sh__.
I purchased a Pavillion m7-1015dx from Best Buy close to a year ago, when I purchased this HP, I was informed on launch , that a Win 8 upgrade would be available for either no cost, or some 3 dollar fee. I am a Broadband Engineer, I own computer businesses, teach computers, etc. I have been using 8 since the developers release and purchased it for all 4 of my computers, the only one not switched over is this laptop with this so called free upgrade that I cannot find and the non english speaking, script reading illterates working from India have no idea about.
Where is this free upgrade I was supposed to get, according to Best Buy, or do I never purchase another HP product again, keep my family and all my customers from purchasing as well.
I am tired of dealing with this BS excuse for customer service.
