Has anyone had a similar expperience? Here's what I posted to Amazon from whom I bought the Pavilion dm1 4310nr:
Initial Post: It's difficult to tell whether it's the machine or Windows 8 but with 4GB and nothing else running should Solitaire hesitate? In addition, there's no evidence of the T-Mobile Broadband despite HP's setup instructions directing you how to access it. All-in-all, a very disappointing purchase.
Received a reply there from 'Scott B. Executive Customer Relations'
Followed Scott B.'s request to contact HP Customer Support I reported the following issues:
1. No evidence of T-Mobile Broadband
2. The "B" and right-hand Shift Key stops working requiring reboot
3. Apps change when moving cursor
4. When opening a new tab on windows the screen goes blank rather than showing eight most recent URLs
5. The MS function keys (F8 Extend or F4 Repeat last command) don't work, instead bringing up Windows options
6. The machine is generally slow
The very courteous gentleman in Manila first denied responsibility saying these were all 'software issues'. When I persisted that at least the T-Mobile feature was HP's he said it was the seller's responsibility and finally suggested I call QVC Premium Support which I, of course, did. After waiting for seven and a half minutes QVC informed me that HP sends lots of people their way but they don't have a clue why.
Any suggestions?
