Don't think there is such a path and the Key Code is not visible to the end user in the OS.

You should IMMEDIATELYTAP the ESC button after you've press the power button. You dont have to wait for the HP logo to come up..

Have you tried checking the HP site? You can find drivers for your product here:

I believe that the specific driver that you are looking for, is the HP System Event Utility. You can download it here: sp71716.exe
