To get the answer to this question, Yes! you can change the Chromebook password since your Chromebook password is literally your Google password, you can change it on any mobile device and any web browser, so long as you're signed into Google.

To change your password:(Google suggested steps )

  1. Open your Google Account. You might need to sign in.
  2. Under "Security," select Signing into Google.
  3. Choose Password. You might need to sign in again.
  4. Enter your new password, then select Change Password.

Turn Guest mode on or off (Google suggested steps )

  • Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  • From Home, tap on your Google Home device and then Settings and then Guest mode.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Then i was trying to scan through HP center (F2 or F3 dont remeber). Scan ended with success. So i decided reinstall windows using my dreamspark windows 10 (64 bit).  So i formatted the partition bellowed (3) and installed on it (i did not remove and touched any of the other partitions):

After it finished i reset bios on the HP center.

Reset Stream

I bought a used stream. I tried updating to the latest version of windows but it says there’s not enough room. Tried deleting as many things as I could, still not enough room. Thought I would factory rest it, not enough room. What the hell am I supposed to do with this stupid thing? How can it not factory reset? Help before I throw this thing out the window.

Pavilion dv7 login bypass??

I was gifted said laptop minus the ac/dc power adapter sometime ago.  I finally ordered the appropriate power adapter and turned it on for the first time a few days ago only to find out that the user login had not been disabled. I contacted the original owner but unfortunately he could not remember the password.  The unit came factory with Windows Vista but had since been upgraded to its current running OS, Windows 10. I’ve read up on some possible soulution to this problem but wanted to find out which one would be the best route to go. I don’t have any readable access to another computer to aid in the process and was hoping that I could avoid doing a full HP recovery cause I’d like to keep some of the aftermarket software that’s been installed. Is there anyway of getting past the login password with out performing one of the two methods mentioned above?  The original owner would be able to provide proof of ownership for the unit  and therefore transfer of said ownership to me to aid in any remedy if needed.

Thanks

Hi
Make, Model and OS please.
SKU: if possible by this method
WinKey + R and type msinfo32 Line 9
System SKU: N6K07EA#ABU

Please do not post Serial Numbers.

Windows Administratine Tools    -    Disk Clean-Up

So how much free space have you got?
How much stuff can you off-load to a USB stick or Cloud Account?

If you have about 5+ gig free then you should be able to make a flash drive.

Create Windows 10 installation media

To get started, you will first need to have a license to install Windows 10. You can then download and run the media creation tool. For more information on how to use the tool, see the instructions below.

If you can ten ask again, I am only guessing as to the model and course of action.

Excellent.  It does sound like the BIOS update was just stuck.  A forced boot (press and pray) usually sorts this at first or second try.

For those reading:

Keep the details of the Press and Pray procedure handy.  These are not my wanderings of the mind.  Although I have given a "cute" name of the process, this is an actual procedure used to help untangle a variety of weird stuck / boot issues.  The original source for the basic information is HP.

Commentary

HPSA and the BIOS Update

I would suggest that should you ever see another suggestion for BIOS update within the HPSA, that you decline having the HPSA do the installation.

BIOS update requires an internal "no boot" option flag when / if the BIOS is updated (along) with other software.  I know that the business class update software (SDM) is aware of this and indeed handles the necessary options.  I am not sure how the HPSA is handling the option to be aware (and stay out of the way) of other updates.  Additionally, I am not positive that HPSA is aware of the requirement for AC power to be connected.   Recent versions of HPSA are much improved over previous versions and the options that I mention may indeed be included in the latest HPSA version.

My Unsolicited Advice

Always check / manage / update the BIOS manually.  Only update the BIOS after other Updates (including Windows Updates) are installed and the computer has then been Restarted.

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out :)

I see that after the latest windows 10 update computer is not booting up,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

While you respond to that,
Try restoring the BIOS to default and check if it helps.

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Next, Perform a hard reset :

1) Shutdown the computer.

2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.

3) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.

4) Plug-in the Adapter.

5) Try to turn on the computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Re: Cant factory reset!

Sorry to bother, butI have run into another issue. Windows 10 is now installing the new updates, and I dont think it is running correctly. When I turn on my laptop, it boota up like a normal windows 10 pc would. Then it goes to an update screen and says "updating 91%" do not shut of your computer. Then after like 1 minute the laptop screen goes black and then shuts off by itself and doesn't turn on. I dont know the problem here. I think it is in a boot loop or something. By the way, when I turn it back ok it starts up, then goes back to the updating 91% and shuts off. Anything you suggest?
