The link that posted will only give the key you are using now.  "I must mention that at the moment I use another license, I want the one on the stiker." will not be what you asked for, but the one cureently in use.

If the OP's sticker has the words OA on it such as Windows 7 Home Premium OA, the key is useless if he want to activate Windows 7 with it.

It comes with windows 10 installed, when I trying to update windows, it's showing error "we couldn't update the system reserved partition".

I contacted Microsoft for this issue, they suggested me to contact manufacturer, so I posted it here.

HP can provide the key if I give them  serial number and product number?

I tried using an ethernet cable. It would only connect to the internet after the login was successful.  Still, a dialogue box pops up saying that location is not available. "If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure you're connected to the network or internet, and then try again. If the location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted."

There is a lock symbal at the bottom right corner in the task bar. I am unable to open anything or use anything on the task bar.

I have two questions.

There are some options for recovery & backup in the HP manual. I want to hear hands-on experience of others.

1.

When I reinstall Windows 10, is there any way to migrate ALL THE SETTINGs to the newly-installed Windows 10?

I back up the files in the external HDD.

2.

How can I prepare for the case in which my laptop isn’t booted?

Hi:

What I use is this free disk imaging software...

https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree

Get a portable hard drive large enough to save the image on.

The software will also prompt you to make a rescue USB flash drive or DVD which you boot from to access the image stored on your portable hard drive.

You can make a new system image anytime you want to keep it updated.

Then if you ever need to reinstall W10, you can use the latest image you made to be as close to where you were.

As I said, there is no record of the key on the sticker, therefore HP will not provide a  key.  The key on the sticker was different than the OEM key that came from the factory install, too.

Please provide the reason you think you need the key.

I would like to install Windows 7 Home Premium (my original version), but, as I understand, W7 was left without my license.

Sorry but I have the latest intel DCH video driver and also other drivers as updated by intel driver monitor program and yet still 1809 wont install, or rather crashes on last reboot and then restores to the previous version 1803 by default by itself.

Aslo in windows update there is NO 1809 showing as available so therefore they have not fixed the problems and therefore its not available to upgrade to YET.

My laptop is a HP x360 13-ac052 device. YMMV.

Does your Spectre have the AMD Radeon Vega graphics driver?  If so, as of now, there is no DCH driver for the Vega.  Intel does list an updated driver on their site, but it's not DCH compliant.  And add to that, they are listing it as BETA. AMD, from what I've read, has not endorsed the DCH modern drivers.  Until they do, my belief is that MS has blacklisted our machines since they have stated that DCH drivers are required for the 1809 update.  On the other hand, if your machine has the Nvidia graphics option, and still won't upgrade, well I guess I need to punt as I'm out of ideas.

There is Recovery media available, maybe.  If the Recovery Partition is still intact on the hard drive, it will reinstall the original Windows 7.  If it is not present, then a retail copy of Windows 7 Home Premium will work, too.  It will be much more trouble for a normal user to get that done in that manner, however.

Look here for Recovery Media kit.  You will need the complete model number, but here is a sample that might be what you are asking about

http://www.computersurgeons.com/p-21946-windows-7-64b-recovery-kit-629985-001-for-hp-notebook-pc-model-number-g62-340us.aspx

When you run that Recovery set, it will reinstall Windows 7 and it will be activated.

Our machines are not blacklisted, my Spectre x360 - 15-ch002nc is still showing 1809 update ready for install, and now windows update tried to install it by force outside active hours.... those stupids in HP should be kicked to ass every 10 minutes!

My laptop does not start. The baterry was damaged, I changed the baterry but that shows up before the windows start.

I have no idea what "left without my license" means!

I have Windows 10 installed on several laptops. I have never seen the error you are getting.

I have never heard of anyone else with the same problem either.

I suggest you Google.

I have read of this happening.

If you don't get an answer here, the best thing to do is to Google for the exact error message you are getting.
