Yea, windows get activated automatically on connecting to Internet but I haven't connected my notebook to Internet yet.so I am just asking should I just connect to Internet first or can create recovery media first?

GREETINGS

   I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED HP LAPTOP AMO20 WHICH IS MAKING ANNOYING CRACKLING NOISE PROBABLY FROM HARD DISK .

   I called the dealer about the issue but he said its normal. However the chirping noise disturbs me a lot. Kindly help to solve the problem.

My son dropped his notebook, corrupted the hard drive, I ordered & replaced the hard drive. It was purchased with windows 8.1 OS he upgraded to Windows 10 OS during the free upgrade period. It was out of warranty by 1 week when he dropped it....so after replacing the hard drive... now what & do I have to purchase a new windows 10 OS?

 

PS: He doesn't need to recovery any files, we just need a clean windows 10 install

I'm not in us or canada. I'm an Indian living in the state Andhra pradesh in tirupati city. suggest me something in this locations please. And if i want to buy that recovery disc or usb drive how much it costs? Can I get any service station here in tirupati?

And use this tutorial to install: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html

Windows 10 will automatically get activated. Be connected to internet.

i turned on laptop, pressed F10. PhoenixBIOS screen - setup confiiguration selected NO - used arrows across to ADVANCED selected BOOT ORDER then ATAPI CD-ROM DRIVE - f10 to save settings.

 

still doesn't Boot from CD it still goes to Windows.

 

this is just not working. i need to do some work on my new HP Stream so i am just going to take out hard drive and get rid of this.

 

i really appreciate EVERYTHING you have done. Briliant.

Windows executables can be run in Linx.

Wine is a free implementation of Windows on Unix.

I do not wish to install Wine on my thin clients.
